Child Safety Standards

Den Inc. publishes the mobile app Den of Us. This page sets out our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), as required by Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy, and explains how to report a concern to us.

Our position

We prohibit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content or conduct that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or grooms a minor. This prohibition is absolute. It applies to anything a person puts into our apps, anything our apps produce, and anything sent to us. There is no artistic, satirical, educational, or research exception to it.

How Den of Us works

Den of Us writes one poem a day for the person using it. It has no accounts, no messaging, no profiles, no comments, no uploads, and no way for one person to reach another. There is no user-to-user surface on which CSAE material could be shared or discovered, and nothing a person writes in the app is published to anyone else.

Poems are generated by an AI language model. Every poem is filtered against safety rules before it is shown, and the model is instructed never to produce sexual content involving minors. Prompts that seek such content are refused rather than fulfilled.

Reporting a poem

Every poem in Den of Us can be reported from the poem itself. A reported poem is withdrawn from the reader's history immediately and sent to us for review. This is the in-app mechanism through which users report CSAE concerns, and it is available without an account and without leaving the app.

Reporting to us directly

To report suspected CSAE — in our apps or anywhere else connected with Den — email support@getden.io with the subject line Child Safety. Reports sent this way are treated as urgent and prioritised ahead of ordinary support. This address is our published child safety point of contact.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

What we do about a report

We review every CSAE report. Where a report is substantiated we remove the material, and where our apps produced it we correct the safeguard that allowed it. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and to any other authority required by the laws that apply to us, and we preserve the associated records as those laws require. We comply with lawful requests from child protection authorities and law enforcement.

Our responsibilities

Den Inc. adheres to Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and to applicable child safety laws in the markets where our apps are distributed. The child safety point of contact named above is maintained and monitored, and this page is kept current as our apps change.
